We are expanding our team of advocates!

The following positions are full-time 40 hour positions, non-exempt, and start at $16.00 an hour. We are seeking a compassionate, mission oriented people who are energetic, self-motivated and ready for a challenging career.  Turning Point of Lehigh Valley offers excellent benefits, health and life insurance. Perfect for someone who has excellent “customer-service” skills, the ability to handle crisis situations calmly, effectively, and efficiently and is a team player but can also work independently.

Currently we are looking for:

Community Advocate: The Community Advocate provides crisis intervention, case management, individual and group counseling using the empowerment model to those who have experienced domestic and intimate partner abuse. As part of a team the Community Advocate will provide trauma informed services within our Safe House Program and at locations around the Lehigh Valley. This position requires availability during evening and weekend hours, as necessary, to meet client needs.

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience in social services or related field. A degree in social services is preferred. Must be adept at client database management and virtual communication tools such as Zoom or Doxy.Me. Preferred candidates will be fluent in English and another language. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
