Domestic and intimate partner abuse is a crime. If you are mentally, sexually, physically assaulted, threatened or harassed by a person you are living with or intimately involved with, you are a victim of domestic abuse. Abuse can be verbal, physical, emotional, sexual or economic. An abused person can be male or female, gay or straight, of any age, race, class, culture, religion or occupation.
