Turning Point court advocates meet with victims to explain legal options available to them through the justice system, and provide them with information and referrals to help them with their current situation. This includes information on Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders, criminal proceedings, Victim’s Compensation, as well as basic information on custody and support. Advocates provide court accompaniment to PFA final and contempt hearings, preliminary hearings, and trials. Our advocates strive to establish positive professional relationships with legal services, the court systems, and law enforcement agencies in Lehigh County and Northampton County; and interact with those systems to improve the quality of service provided to victims of Domestic Violence.

Christmas tree toss a bizarre event with a purpose

Unusual event pitting the Chief of Police of Bethlehem vs. the Chief of Police of Bethlehem Township in a Christmas Tree Tossing contest. Both of the Chiefs, Dan Panacost of Bethlehem Township and Jason Schiffer of Bethlehem chose Turning Point as their designated beneficiary. The event raised more than $600.

Annual Candlelight Vigil

What a tremendous night! More than 100 people celebrated the survivors amd remembered the victims of domestic violence. We witnessed the dedication of a new “Empty Place at the Table”, felt the passion of our Keynote Speaker, Danielle Cassidy, and were energized and uplifted by the anti domestic violence anthem “Free” written and performed by Dina Hall.
