Welcome to Our Site

Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is a safe place where victims of abuse and their children can find refuge. We provide services in Lehigh and Northampton Counties to more than 5,000 victims of domestic violence each year. Our mission is threefold:

  1. Work toward the elimination of domestic violence.
  2. Increase community awareness of the problem.
  3. Empower victims of domestic violence by providing shelter and support services.

Our Services

Turning Point provides many different services to victims of abuse, their children, and the local community:

Helpline

Our 24 hour helpline was formulated as a constant resource for victims as well as family and friends of victims.

Empowerment Counseling

We offer individual and group counseling to victims of domestic abuse. We also offer individual counseling to famiy and friends of victims.

Safe House/Shelter

We empower victims of domestic violence by providing shelter with support services to victims and minor children.

Court Advocacy

We help domestic violence victims with Protection from Abuse orders and other legal issues as they seek justice through the court system.

Community Education

We provide information and education about domestic violence to schools, churches, and community groups.

Children’s Programming

Children are offered special programs which include activities, groups and counseling.

Transitional Programming

For those victims needing counseling and additional practical assistance, while they are moving into a non-violent situation, we offer a transitional living program.

Prevention Programs

We provide prevention programs to students and adults about dating violence and healthy vs. unhealthy relationships.

Annual Candlelight Vigil

What a tremendous night! More than 100 people celebrated the survivors amd remembered the victims of domestic violence. We witnessed the dedication of a new “Empty Place at the Table”, felt the passion of our Keynote Speaker, Danielle Cassidy, and were energized and uplifted by the anti domestic violence anthem “Free” written and performed by Dina Hall.
